Vol. 419 No. 10

Written Answers. - Blackpool (Cork) New Fire Station.

Bernard Allen

Question:

58 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Environment when he will sanction an application by Cork Corporation for a financial allocation to replace the fire station at Blackpool with a new one at the Hammond Lane site at Blackpool in order to deal with emergency calls on the north side of the city ranging from Hollyhill to Mayfield; and when the application was made for a capital allocation.

Proposals by Cork Corporation to provide a new fire station in the Blackpool area are being examined and I will communicate with the corporation in the matter as soon as possible.
