58 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Defence if his attention has been drawn to the condition of the caretakers house at Waterford Military Barracks; if he will outline the immediate steps he will take to provide proper and acceptable accommodation for the caretaker and his family; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The repair and maintenance of living accommodation at military barracks and posts (including Waterford Barracks) are carried out, as may be required, by the Army Corps of Engineers or by contract. The Corps of Engineers are being instructed to inspect the accommodation referred to in the Question and to furnish a report thereon.
