Vol. 420 No. 4

Written Answers. - Tralee (Kerry) Fisheries Access.

Dick Spring

Question:

24 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Finance if he will consider making annual season tickets available for a number of persons from Tralee, County Kerry who have been discriminated against by virtue of the new regulations for the management of the Laune Fisheries as provided in the Vincent Memorial Bequest, and by so doing ensure that reasonable and affordable access to the fisheries is maintained.

While new arrangements have been introduced in relation to the River Laune Fishery on a trial basis, the public will continue to have as much access to the fishery as heretofore.

I am not aware that there has been any discrimination against individuals as a result of these new arrangements.
