Vol. 421 No. 5

Written Answers. - Dental Care Budget Allocation.

John Connor

Question:

73 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for Health if he will outline the percentage of the 1992 health budget which is devoted to dental care; if he will give details of any changes in these figures over the last five years; and if he will further outline the way in which these figures compare with the UK.

Details of the expenditure on dental services, expressed as a percentage of gross non-capital health expenditure, in respect of the period 1987-1922 is set out in the following table. It is not possible to provide comparable data in respect of the UK, having regard to the range and scope of the respective schemes.
