I propose to take Questions Nos. 22, 25, 32, 47, 62, 74 and 84 together. I am pleased to note that 74 per cent of respondents in the survey referred to by the Deputies expressed themselves as satisfied that the education system adequately prepares young people for work in a business environment.
The specific areas where improvements were considered necessary are all addressed in the Green Paper on Education. These include the development of communication skills, an increased emphasis on practical experience and on modern languages, and more links between schools and industry.
