Question:

210 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will review an application for payment of an EC special beef premium in view of the circumstances of the case of a person (details supplied) in County Laois.

At an on-farm inspection on 2 September 1991 the person named failed to present two of the 11 animals on which he applied for grants under the 1991 special beef premium scheme. He is therefore, ineligible for grants under the 1991 scheme and, under EC Regulations, is debarred from the scheme for 12 months from 2 September 1991.

211 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will review an application for payment of an EC special beef premium in view of the circumstances of the case of a person (details supplied) in County Laois.

At an on-farm inspection on 16 October 1991 two of the 27 animals on which the person named applied for grants under the 1991 special beef premium were found to have their identity cards previously punched. He is, therefore, ineligible for grants under the 1991 scheme and, under EC Regulations, is debarred from the scheme for 12 months from 16 October 1991.

212 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will review an application for payment of an EC special beef premium in view of the circumstances of the case of a person (details supplied) in County Laois.

At an office inspection on 13 November 1991, two of the cattle identity cards for the 23 animals on which the person named applied for grants under the 1991 special beef premium scheme indicated that grants had already been paid on these animals. He is, therefore, ineligible for grants under the 1991 scheme and, under EC Regulations, is debarred from the scheme for 12 months from 13 November 1991.

213 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in the payment of a beef premium to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.

This person has been deemed ineligible for payment of grants under the 1991 special beef premium scheme because he listed three animals on his application on which premium had been paid already.
