220 Mr. Collins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will outline the position in regard to an application for a herd number made by a person (details supplied) in County Clare as this matter has been ongoing since 1984.
The person named has applied to the district veterinary office for a herd number a number of times and most recently on 29 April 1991. Following examination of the case it was concluded that the applicant did not satisfy the criteria for the granting of a herd number which include as minimum requirements separate management and farm equipment.
