Vol. 422 No. 4

Written Answers. - Tubbercurry (Sligo) Health Care Centre.

Edward Nealon

Question:

173 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Health when it is proposed to open the newly constucted health care centre in Tubbercurry, County Sligo; if he will outline the facilities it is intended to provide there; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have had inquiries made from the North-Western Health Board and they confirm that they hope to have construction of the new health centre completed within the next two months.

The Board are not yet in a position to say when the facilities will be operational but would hope that the centre would provide general practitioner, public health nurse, social worker, community welfare, dental, speech therapy, psychology and community psychiatric services as early as possible.
