Vol. 422 No. 4

Written Answers. - Sewerage Schemes.

Gerry Reynolds

Question:

181 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the position in regard to finance for the Ballinamore sewerage scheme.

Tenders for the Ballinamore sewerage scheme are under examination in my Department. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when there may be a decision on this scheme.

Gerry Reynolds

Question:

182 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for the Environment if he will urgently provide the necessary allocation of funds to Leitrim County Council for the extension of the Manorhamilton sewerage scheme which would include the village of Lurganboy in County Leitrim; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The preliminary report for the Lurganboy sewerage scheme has been approved and further planning is now a matter for Leitrim County Council. The question of funding does not arise at this stage.
