Vol. 423 No. 1

Written Answers. - Naas (Kildare) Fire Station.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

363 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline the current position with regard to the provision of a new fire station at Naas, County Kildare; if final agreement has yet been reached or is likely to be reached in the near future in relation to the site required for the project; whether the technical officers from his Department have examined alternative sites available; if a recommendation has been made in respect of any such site; if he will outline whether he expects to give his approval to the proposal in the near future; if sufficient funding is available to allow the project to progress further in the current year; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I refer to the replies to Questions No. 487 of 16 October 1991 and No. 332 of 29 January 1992 on this matter. No further proposals have been received from the local authority.
