142 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Finance if he will assist in any way to ensure the proper development of the property (details supplied) located between Kilmainham Jail and the River Camac in Dublin 8; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The Office of Public Works has had lengthy discussions with the developer of the land adjacent to Kilmainham Gaol concerning his plans and has reached agreement on revisions to the development which will be a significant improvement on the original proposals. The matter is at present being discussed by the developer with the planning department of Dublin Corporation. I am satisfied that the Office of Public Works is taking every action possible to protect Kilmainham Gaol.
