Vol. 423 No. 2

Written Answers. - Television Service.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

84 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications if she will investigate the television service from RTE to an area (details supplied) in County Cork with a view to having the quality of the service improved.

This is primarily a matter for RTE. RTE state that they have no complaints regarding reception difficulties in these areas, and have confirmed that TV reception in Rushbrook is generally good with the possible exception of the Dockyard area where individual reception may have some problems. They regard Cobh as being well served from the Crosshaven transmitter which was increased in power earlier this year. RTE would be happy to investigate individual problems which are brought to their attention.
