Question:88 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that (1) a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12, who attended the casualty department of a hospital (details supplied) in Dublin 4 on 29 September 1992 for a cardiogram and other tests had to wait more than four hours before being notified of the result of the cardiogram and (2) no doctor saw this patient from 6 p.m. when blood and other tests were carried out until a doctor discharged her at 8.30 p.m. with a further appointment for 2 October; if he considers that the treatment afforded to this patient was in accordance with the Charter for Hospital Patients; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
