Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

173 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make a statement on the up-to-date position regarding the provision of a dam on the Smearla river at Rathae/Ardydonegan, County Kerry.

Proposals for site investigation and topographical survey for the North East Kerry Regional Water Supply Scheme are under consideration in my Department. It is not possible to indicate when a decision on this regional scheme may be made.
