Question:73 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Justice the civil legal aid service currently available to the people of County Laois; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - County Laois Law Centres.
At present, there are no full-time law centres operating in County Laois. I am advised by the Legal Aid Board that its resources are not sufficient to enable it to service the part-time law centre which used to operate from the old parochial house, Dublin Road, Portlaoise. It is open to any person living in County Laois who wishes to avail of the services of the board to apply to any of the board's law centres where his or her application will be considered.
