Vol. 424 No. 10

Ceisteanna — Questions. Written Answers. - National Lottery Funds.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

48 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance the extent to which he expects funds to be available for disbursement by the various Departments from the proceeds of the national lottery by the end of 1992 and 1993; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A total of £104.858 million has been allocated by the Government to National Lottery funded spending programmes for 1992. It is estimated that the total amount of lottery funds available in 1992 will be of this order.

Details of the Departmental allocations are set out in the National Lottery Annex to the Revised Estimates Volume, a copy of which is available in the Dáil Library.

With regard to the position in 1993, the Government will decide on the allocation of Lottery funds in the context of the overall consideration of the 1993 departmental Estimates.
