Question:186 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Justice the number of bicycles stolen in the Dublin area each year and if she will provide precise and accurate statistics for the last 5 years.
Written Answers. - Larceny of Bicycles.
The number of recorded larcencies of pedal cycles for the Dublin Metropolitan Area for the period 1987 to 1991 is set out in the tabular statement below. The crime figures for 1992 have not yet been finalised but provisional indications are that the number of recorded larcencies of pedal cycles in the Dublin Metropolitan Area continued to decline in 1992.
