574 Miss Quill asked the Minister for Education the plans, if any, she has to make appropriate regional budgetary arrangements to support the work of adult education organisers (Arts) under the vocational education committees in Counties Sligo, Westmeath and Kilkenny, with a responsibility for the North West, Midlands and South East respectively.

The work of adult education organisers (Arts) is currently funded by the Vocational Education Committee, to which they are assigned, from within their annual financial schemes.

I have no plans to change this practice by providing funding on a regional basis.
