Question:

101 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Finance the estimated yield to the Exchequer in 1993 from an excise increase from March 1993 of the following magnitudes: one penny on the pint of beer; one penny on a glass of spirits; one penny on a litre of petrol; one penny on 20 cigarettes and proportionate increases on tobacco products; and the estimated yield on increase of 10 pence on each item.

110 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Finance the yield to the Exchequer of an increase of 1p on a packet of cigarettes, and pro-rata increases for other tobacco commodities, of an increase of 1p on a gallon of petrol and of an increase of 1p on a pint of beer and a half glass of spirits.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 101 and 110 together.
