Written Answers. - Ballyjamesduff (Cavan) Water/Sewerage Scheme.

Question:

111 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for the Environment when work will commence on the sewerage scheme and treatment plant to service Ballyjamesduff town and the surrounding areas in County Cavan; and the present position on the project.

The preliminary report for the Ballyjamesduff sewerage scheme has been approved. Tenders for advance works are under consideration in my Department. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision on this scheme may be made.

Tender proposals for the Ballyjamesduff regional water supply scheme are with my Department. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision on this scheme may be made.
