Question:

98 Mr. Collins asked the Minister for the Environment when he will be in a position to approve a grant and a special contribution to the group water scheme at The Hill, Abbeyfeale, County Limerick.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 94 to 96, inclusive, and 98 together.

Group water scheme grants and contributions from group members are unlikely to suffice to finance these schemes which, in consequence, may require a special contribution from the provision for public water and sanitary services schemes. Having regard to the overall demand on the water and sanitary services programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve these schemes.
