Question:

63 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment whether he has had discussions with his Ministerial colleagues in Government with a view to identifying the number, if any, of permanent and temporary jobs likely to be provided under the aegis of each Department within the lifetime of this Government; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The employment of extra people by Government Departments or in the public service agencies coming under the aegis of a Government Department is a matter for which the Minister for Finance has primary responsibility. Question in that connection should be addressed to him.
