Vol. 426 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Paul Bradford

Question:

78 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be paid the 1992 special beef premium.

The person named is not the registered owner of the herd number quoted. However, the registered herd owner has been paid his 1992 special beef premium scheme grant already.

Question:

79 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork whose farm is in the disadvantaged area has not received the full entitlement due to him under the 1991 sheep premium scheme; and when this matter will be finalised.

Question:

80 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of the 1992 sheep premium.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 79 and 80 together. The person named had 110 eligible ewes under the 1991 ewe premium scheme and according to my Department's records payment has been made in full. He did not apply under the 1991 sheep headage scheme.

The delay in making payment of the 1992 ewe premium has arisen due to the fact that the person named used a cancelled herd number on his application rather than the flock number which had replaced it. I have now arranged for payment to be made as soon as possible. He did not apply under the 1992 sheep headage scheme.
