81 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will respond to the request from Muintir na Tíre that funding be provided for community development workers to assist with local enterprise projects throughout the country.
I have no proposals at present to provide funding for this purpose. The question of the most appropriate administrative structures for promoting rural development will be considered in the light of experience of the various rural development initiatives such as the EC LEADER programme and the small and community enterprise scheme.
