Question:

130 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason a reduced amount of premium under the beef cow suckler scheme has been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

The person named was not paid grants under the beef cow scheme in less severely handicapped areas for all the animals on which he claimed grants because all his lands are not situated in an eligible area. In such cases stock on applicant's farms is apportioned between the parts of the farm inside and outside the disadvantaged areas and grants are paid accordingly.

Question:

131 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a subsidy on 33 cattle will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

The application of the person named for grants under the 1992 special beef premium scheme on 33 animals is being processed at present and if found in order payment will be made shortly.

132 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will pay headage grants to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim which have been cleared for payment.

The applications of the person named for grants under the 1992 cattle headage and suckler cow premium scheme are being processed at present and if found in order payments will be made shortly. Her 1992 special beef premium scheme grants has been paid since the end of November 1992.
