Question:

35 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications whether he has had discussions with the ESB regarding their intention to revise prices in order to reduce long term debt and create a development fund; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Discussions have been held between my Department and the ESB in relation to the board's application for a price increase. I will be putting recommendations to Government shortly in relation to the application.
