I am satisfied that neither the MMDS TV operators nor the regime under which they are licensed has a case to answer under the Competition Act. However, in line with a commitment given, my Department has recently made arrangements with the Department of Enterprise and Employment to have the operators' monopoly position, vis-à-vis the Competition Act, examined.
