Question:

48 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if, in view of investigations into the ESB and other semi-State companies, he has put in place a new code of ethics and practice for members of the board and officers of the ESB; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I refer the Deputy to a reply to a similar question tabled on Tuesday, 13 October 1992. A copy of the report on the Government Guidelines for State Bodies, March 1992, was issued to the ESB.

The ESB has taken account of the recommendations and is actively co-operating with the implementation of the guidelines.
