Vol. 427 No. 4

Written Answers. - County Monaghan School Extension.

James Leonard

Question:

77 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for Education when funding will be made available for the proposed extension to Glasslough primary school, County Monaghan, in view of the fact that one class had to be moved to premises three-quarters of a mile away.

A major building project has been approved for Glasslough national school and planning is under way. It has not been possible to include the proposed extension in the 1993 primary schools capital programme because of other demands deemed to be of a higher priority which had to take precedence. It will continue to be considered for inclusion in the programme in the light of available resources and other commitments and priorities.
