Vol. 427 No. 6

Written Answers. - Second Commission on the Status of Women.

Mary Wallace

Question:

256 Miss M. Wallace asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform the system of consultation he intends undertaking concerning the implementation of the recommendations of the Second Commission of the Status of Women.

As I have already indicated to the House, I envisage the establishment of some form of monitoring committee, as suggested in the report of the Commission on the Status of Women. In addition, there will be consultation, as appropriate, with relevant interests in relation to the implementation of recommendations in my area of responsibility.
