Vol. 427 No. 6

Written Answers. - Facilities for Hearing Impaired Children.

John O'Donoghue

Question:

311 Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for Education if she will sanction the provision of an educational facility in County Kerry for children with impaired hearing at an early date; if this facility will be opened before the end of April 1993; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The question of providing a special class in County Kerry for hearing impaired children is being actively pursued at present by my Department's Inspectorate.

However, it would not be possible at this stage to say whether such a facility can be provided.
