Vol. 427 No. 8

Written Answers. - Rathcoffey (Kildare) School.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

227 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education if she has satisfied herself that sufficient accommodation is available at Rathcoffey National School, County Kildare; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

This is a four-teacher school which is accommodated in three permanent classrooms and one prefabricated classroom. A building project has been agreed which involves some conversions and the provision of two new replacement classrooms and this is at an early stage of architectural planning. This project has not been included in the 1993 capital programme. It will be considered for inclusion in the programme in due course having regard to available resources and other commitments and priorities.
