243 Mr. J. Higgins and Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education the plans, if any, she has to introduce the legislation promised in the Programme for a Partnership Government 1993-97 for a national education and training certification board; and the costs involved.

The establishment of a National Education and Training Certification Board including necessary legislation as proposed in the Programme for a Partnership Government 1993-97 is under active consideration in my Department in consultation with the Department of Enterprise and Environment.
