Question:242 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Education if she will extend the child abuse prevention programme (details supplied) to include pre-school playgroups.

The Child Abuse Prevention Programme, which was drawn up by the Eastern Health Board is aimed at pupils of primary school age.
Matters relating to pre-school playgroups pertain to the Minister for Health but I am not aware of any proposal to design a programme similar to the Child Abuse Protection Programme for pre-school age children.
