Vol. 428 No. 1

Written Answers. - Dublin Drug Regulations.

Avril Doyle

Question:

242 Mrs. Doyle and Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment the criteria he will use in deciding whether it is necessary to extend the Dublin smog regulations to other centres as suggested in the Programme for a Partnership Government 1993 to 1997.

Wexford): The question of extending the Dublin coal ban regulations to other major urban areas will be fully examined when monitoring returns are available for smoke pollution for the year to end March 1993. The basic criterion of this examination will be the need to ensure compliance with statutory air quality standards.
