Question:

352 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in payment of a beef premium to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and when payment of this will be made.

Robert Molloy

Question:

353 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when it is expected that the payment of balance of sheep headage grants will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The person named was paid grants under both the 1992 ewe premium and sheep headage schemes in respect of 14 breeding ewes. The final instalment of the ewe premium scheme in respect of 14 ewes was paid in mid-March 1993. He qualified for grants of £140 under the sheep headage scheme but because of an error he was paid £280. My Department will be making arrangements to have the overpayment of £140 recouped from future grants due to him.
