Vol. 428 No. 1

Written Answers. - Vaccine Query.

Robert Molloy

Question:

456 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Health if he will assist a person (details supplied) in County Galway who is anxious to obtain the number of the three-in-one vaccine administered to her son over twenty years ago.

An Expert Medical Group was established in 1977 to examine cases of possible adverse reactions to the pertussis vaccination.

In the course of their deliberations the group collected information on cases brought to their attention. This information included, in some cases, the batch number of the vaccine given.

I am informed however that in this particular case no record of the number of the three-in-one vaccination was made available to the Expert Medical Group.
