Vol. 428 No. 1

Written Answers. - Kilrush (Clare) School.

Donal Carey

Question:

468 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Education if she has received a request from the Kilrush Urban District Council, County Clare, the board of management of the council to meet a deputation so that they may help to expedite the planning, sanctioning and building of their new community school; and when this will happen.

I have recently received a request to meet a deputation to discuss the new community school in Kilrush.

Since I became Minister for Education I have received numerous requests to meet deputations with regard to school building projects. However, because of extensive commitments relating to other Department work, it has only been possible to meet a limited number of deputations in any given week.

I will be in contact with the local interested parties, in due course, with a view to meeting them as soon as my schedule permits.
