Written Answers. - County Meath School Facilities.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

494 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education if she will make funds available for the provision of a locker room where the pupils could avail of this facility to have their luncheon in a school (details supplied) in County Meath, following the request of a parents association and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Due to demands on the capital resources available, priority has been given for some time to the provision of essential teaching places. As a result, it is not possible to make funding available at this stage for the provision of a room for lunch facilities at this school.
