Charles Flanagan

Question:

145 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in the payment of a beef premium to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

The application of the person named for grants under the 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected by computer at validation stage. The error is being dealt with at present. When it is resolved the application will be processed further and, if found in order, payment will then be made.

Brendan Kenneally

Question:

146 Mr. Kenneally asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when payment of a suckler cow premium will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and if this payment will be expedited in view of the serious financial position this person finds himself in.

This person was paid his grants under the 1992 suckler cow premium scheme in mid March 1993.

147 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a suckler cow grant will be approved and paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

My Department is unable to trace any 1992 suckler cow premium scheme application from the person named. His December 1992 special beef premium scheme application will be processed in due course.

148 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a cattle headage grant and a beef premium will be approved and paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

Further investigation is necessary before a decision can be made as to whether or not 1992 suckler cow premium scheme grants can be paid to the person named.

His 1992 special beef premium application is being processed at present and, if found in order, payment will be made shortly. He did not apply for grants under the 1992 beef cow and equines headage scheme.
