Jim O'Keeffe

Question:

45 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Justice if, in the light of the latest murders by the Provisional IRA in the UK, she has any proposals to review our extradition laws and to close the loopholes therein.

Work on legislation to amend the Extradition Acts, 1965-87 is already underway in my Department. Details of the legislation will be published in the ordinary way when it has been finalised and approved by Government.
