Vol. 428 No. 5

Written Answers. - Review of Convictions.

Seán Barrett

Question:

46 Mr. Barrett asked the Minister for Justice when she intends introducing new procedures to allow a person convicted of a criminal offence to have their case reopened where new evidence emerges; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

A Bill enabling the review of convictions where new evidence emerges is being drafted and I expect to circulate it before the summer recess.
