106 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Health if he will have arrangements made for an MRI scan in St. Vincent's Hospital, Dublin, under the aegis of the Public Health Scheme for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo who is the holder of a medical card.

The question of whether a patient should be referred for a MRI scan is entirely a matter for clinical decision by the consultant concerned.
