Vol. 429 No. 1

Written Answers. - Ballymun (Dublin) Houses.

Mary Flaherty

Question:

26 Miss Flaherty asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received an application from Dublin Corporation concerning the need for urgent remedial work to a small remaining number of timber-framed houses in the Ballymun area of Dublin 11; and if he will respond positively to a request that these refurbishments be allowed as part of the capital programme.

The corporation have sought approval to meet the cost of this work, together with a number of other projects, from their internal housing capital receipts. Their request will be considered in the light of the availability of any internal capital receipts which are not required for their housing construction and remedial works programmes.
