Question:

172 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will be allowed a further one year extension in relation to their milk supplies for themselves in order to retain their provisional milk quota; and if any exceptions in terms of deferring the implementation of these regulations can be considered for cases such as this.

The relevant EC legislation does not permit of any extension beyond 1 July 1993 in the period within which the holders of provisional SLOM II milk quotas, such as the husband of the couple in question, must fulfil the conditions stipulated as necessary for the confirmation of such quotas as being definitive.
