Question:192 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when payment of £1.5 million of compensation will be made to the Donegal potato farmers; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I expect to complete, in the near future, the criteria for qualification for assistance. I am also endeavouring to have the sum of £1 million announced in this year's budget supplemented from EC funds. When arrangements are finalised I will issue a statement on the matter.
