43 Mr. Cullen asked the Minister for the Marine if he will give details of regional fishery board staff appointments since 1 January 1993; if he has satisfied himself that each board has the ability to carry out their functions of conservation and development; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Apart from the filling of two long-standing regional manager vacancies, there have been no staff appointments to the regional fishery boards since January 1993. As regards the remaining parts of the question, I would refer the Deputy to the answers I gave the House on 24 February 1993 in reply to Questions Nos. 11, 22, 24, 26, 28 and Priority Question No. 2.
