Vol. 429 No. 3

Written Answers. - Dingle (Kerry) Port.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

60 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Marine if he intends to designate Dingle, County Kerry as a major fishing port.

It is intended that Dingle will be designated as a fishery harbour centre as soon as possible following the enactment of the necessary enabling legislation. It is proposed to include the relevant provisions in the forthcoming Ports and Harbours Bill which will, inter alia, deal with the major re-organisation of commercial ports and management structures.
