Standing Order 69A: Motion.

I move:

That, with effect from 27th April, 1993 until further notice in the 27th Dáil, the following be adopted as an additional Standing Order of Dáil Éireann relative to Public Business:—

69A. (1) The first meeting of a Select Committee shall be summoned by the Clerk of the Committee unless the Dáil has otherwise ordered.

(2) The Chairman of a Select or Special Committee may, with the agreement of not less than two-thirds of the Members of the Committee:

(a) summon a meeting of the Committee for a date earlier than that fixed on the adjournment,

(b) postpone a meeting of the Committee to a date not later than three weeks from that fixed on the adjournment.
