Standing Order 75: Motion.

I move:

That, with effect from 27th April, 1993 until further notice in the 27th Dáil, the following shall apply in substitution for Standing Order 75 of the Standing Orders of Dáil Éireann relative to Public Business:

75. When a division is demanded in a Select or Special Committee, the door shall be locked and the division taken after the lapse of eight minutes or as soon as all members of the Committee (or duly nominated substitutes as the case may be) are present, whichever is the earlier, whereupon a Division shall be taken by the Clerk to the Committee calling the names of the members. In the event of there being an equality of votes the question shall be decided in the negative.
